TRAINING PROGRSM “ENTREPRENEURSHIP ASPECTS OF CATERING BUSINESS”
Under the project “Caterers on the Run” financed by European program for education ERASMUS+, contract number 2019-1-RS01-KA202-000847, Secondary School of Economics Sombor visited Portugal and attended training program “Entrepreneurship Aspects of Catering Business”. The training program was organized by partner school Agrupamento de Escolas de Barcelos, Barcelos. Secondary School of Economics Sombor was represented by its professors: Melita Danilović, Bojan Subotić, and Marija Šijan.
The aim of the training program was development of professional competencies for professors of vocational subjects regarding entrepreneurship skills with accent on distribution and modern catering service promotion.
Beside professors of Secondary School of Economics Sombor, the program was attended by professors of Secondary School, Banska Bystrica, Slovak Republic. Training program was held on October 2 – 5, 2021.
Professors had the opportunity to visit Atlantic ocean and port city Porto, which is protected by UNESCO since of its architecture and numerous bridges on the Douro river. As the visit was in autumn, it was a special experience to walk along famous Portuguese vineyards and to taste grapes used for production of well-known sweet wine Port that is usually found all around the world as a catering on weddings.
